Hiring Qualified Homecare Workers
We are looking for qualified individuals with a background in home care, with an emphasis on experience in assisted living and companion care. As a member of our team, you will become the best friend of many of our seniors. You’ll provide patients with companionship and fun activities, assist with daily living, remind them to take medications and encourage therapy exercises. When necessary, you will also perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, and feeding. To be eligible for a senior care job with us, you must have the following qualifications:
- Compassion, empathy, and a good heart
- Background or previous work experience in home care
- CPR license from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Pass an AHCA Level Two background check
- Provide fingerprint biometrics to validate and verify identity
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and transportation
- Pass drug and health screenings
Professional Senior Care Job Training
We are looking for professionals with a passion for helping seniors. An ideal candidate will have previous work experience or background with in-home hospice or care. We prefer applicants with CAN certification or experience working with mental health and depression, breathing conditions like CHF or COPD and hypertension, dementia and memory care, Parkinson’s or MS, or assisted living and companion care. Upon employment, new team members will undergo rigorous training, including the following:
- Engagement training
- Alzheimer’s levels 1 and 2
- Infection control
- COVID-19 awareness
- HIPPA awareness
- HIV infection prevention
- Skills exam/check-off by a registered nurse
- Recognizing signs of abuse, neglect, and exploitation
